Parents as Teachers

A love for learning starts at a very young age! Our Parents as Teachers Program is dedicated to helping parents understand the vital role of early childhood education. This free program, tailored for children ages 0 - 5, provides parents and caregivers with long-term, home-based parenting education. It aims to enhance parental knowledge during the critical first five years of development and promote school readiness. Catholic Charities of Corpus Christi offers the
Parents as Teachers Program, which serves families in Nueces and San Patricio Counties.

NOW ENROLLING

Through the Parents as Teachers Program, parents are empowered to be their child's first teacher by increasing their knowledge of early childhood development and improving their parenting practices. Graduates of the Parents as Teachers Program score higher on kindergarten readiness tests, are better problem solvers and are more advanced in language and social development.

We proudly announce that our Parents as Teachers Program completed the Parents as Teachers National Center Quality Endorsement & Improvement Process and earned the highest designation, the Blue Ribbon Endorsement!

Being named a Blue Ribbon Affiliate affirms that the Parents as Teachers Program at Catholic Charities of Corpus Christi is among the highest quality members of the home visitation and parent education field, implementing the evidence-based Parents as Teachers model with fidelity and quality.
