What We Provide
Disaster Relief
Catholic Charities of Corpus Christi is a second-line responder, collaborating with first-line responders like the Salvation Army, American Red Cross, and Emergency Management. Our relief efforts are dedicated to addressing individuals' emergency needs immediately following a disaster.
Disaster Recovery
We offer Disaster Recovery Case Management to help individuals affected by disasters create and execute a comprehensive Disaster Recovery Plan while connecting them with community resources. Our services include response coordination and both short-term and long-term recovery support for individuals and families impacted by natural disasters such as hurricanes, floods, and other catastrophes.
Disaster Preparation
Catholic Charities of Corpus Christi collaborates year-round with community organizations, partners, and government entities to ensure a coordinated response in the event of a disaster. These organizations provide valuable information and resources to help the community with disaster preparation and mitigation efforts.
Disaster Training
We offer continuous education and training opportunities for staff, volunteers, and community residents across the 12 counties we serve. Those interested in working or volunteering with our Disaster Response Services Department can access disaster preparation training and materials. Additionally, we periodically provide community residents with educational sessions and disaster response prep-and-ready kits through various outreach efforts.
