The mission of Catholic Charities is rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ: to provide service to people in need and address social ills that undermine the dignity of the person. The ultimate goal of Catholic Charities is to create positive, life-changing opportunities for those in need without regard to color, race or creed.
Believing in the presence of God in our midst, we proclaim the sanctity of human life and the dignity of the person by sharing in the Mission of Jesus given to all. To this end, Catholic Charities of Corpus Christi works with individuals, families, and communities to help them meet their needs, address challenges, eliminate oppression, and build a just and compassionate society.
To enable individuals to reach their full potential towards self-sufficiency and financial independence by developing and implementing supportive services such as job coach and placement, educational components, help develop the capacity to manage their own affairs, make their own decisions, and provide for themselves.
We place ourselves where the need is the greatest and the resources are the least. That is what makes us different from other providers of social services. We intentionally reach out to the poorest and most vulnerable. We do it by addressing our clients' spiritual, emotional, physical, and financial needs and promote family and individual self-sufficiency. We work to reduce and eliminate poverty, support families, and empower communities. We advocate for social changes that will broaden a person's opportunities for growth and independence.
To change the world we must be good to those who cannot repay us.
