Community Wellness and Education Outreach
The Community Wellness and Education Outreach department offers support services that focus on healthy lifestyles and client empowerment. With the promotion of healthy eating, increased physical activity, making proactive choices in taking care of health concerns and enriching family dynamics, we work toward outcomes that will positively change our community.
Public health advocacy, education and outreach to both our urban and rural neighbors are what we are privileged to do in the Coastal Bend areas of South Texas!

Freshstart: Smoking Cessation

This four (4) session program is designed to support individuals as they make the choice to quit smoking or using tobacco products. While in a group setting, participants are able to share personal experiences related to their addiction. Individuals are asked to take a step back and and think of why quitting would not just be beneficial to themselves but also to those around them. Freshstart is adopted from the American Cancer Society.
